I joined DREAMBOAT as a volunteer, before gaining employment as undergraduate interns then fully employed. DREAMBOAT has enormous institutional capacity that shaped my career development with skills and competences in program development, IEC, IPC and SBCC development, proposal writing, strategic planning, client liaison and customer skills, team management, administrative, politics, conflict resolution, culture awareness, computer and technical skills, excellent written and oral skills, diplomacy, adaptation, workshop development, report writing, community dialogue, travel ready, gender analysis and main-streaming.

Community system strengthening (CSS) is one of Global Fund supported projects for the new funding model (NFM). It is aim at contributing to the restoration of public confidence in health care service in Nigeria thereby reverse the decline in the utilization of health facilities with Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) for HIV referrals on Community System Strengthening (CSS).

I supported demand generation for PMTCT by mobilizing pregnant women (60% target) and general population (40% target) to conduct HIV counseling and testing, with the help of service delivery actors and monthly verification of data at PHC level.
Project Support Officer: Engender Health fistula care plus. (MAY 2016)
Northern Cross River State showed the highest incidence of Fistula cases in southern Nigeria according to research; in March 2016 Engender Health with support from fhi360 signed a funding contract with DREAMBAOT to support interventions in north and central Cross River State.

I provided technical support, introducing this project to BORUM communities in BOKI LGA through community entry meetings, advocacy, coordinating community action circle, identifying community needs, problems and developing community communication mechanism for Fistula client referrals.
Local Government Project Coordinator: strategic behaviour communication for mobilising communities for HIV/AIDS, WORLD BANK/ CR-SACA HAF (NOV 2014 – FEB 2016)
For years HIV prevalence in Cross River State remained higher than the national prevalence according to NACA. In May 2014 Cross River State Agency for the Control of AIDS (CR-SACA) with support from World Bank signed a contract with more than twenty civil society organisations to reach 80% of the general population with increased 90-90-90 access to STIS/HIV/AIDS prevention services and to carry out health education and awareness. The following activities were implemented under this project; baseline survey, advocacy visits, site visits and community mapping, training of peer educators, peer sessions, community dialogues, on-site and facility- based HCT. Community dialogues adjusted to cultural context, messages given clear and coded by audience. All information uploaded on DHIS data base.
In a new state survey conducted by CR-SACA shows increased in knowledge and a reduction in HIV prevalence rate in Cross River State as a result of our intervention programs.
Monitoring and Evaluation/Community facilitator (JUN 2014 –MAR 2015): MAPS
Malaria is a major public health problem for the people of Cross River State, the state government and MAPS signed a funding contract with DREAMBOAT, to promote behaviour change and malaria prevention programs. I provided technical support to trainings, advocacy, dialogues, home visits, drama, net distributions and reporting directly to the state MAPS monitoring and evaluation officer.
Within this period, the number of pregnant women accessing Anti natal care increased by 70%, with a sharp reduction in mortality rate of children by 85% across the LGA.

C-change was a USAID –funded project implemented by AED and its partners to promote HIV related knowledge, attitudes, behaviours, and practices of young people in Cross River and KOGI states Nigeria.
C-change/Nigeria was the lead partner who launched formative research to inform the focus and design – driven SBCC intervention that to aims to reduce HIV risk behaviours among youth ages 15-24 years expanded the use of mass media by SBCC implementing agencies. I supported program coordination in tertiary and secondary institutions in Cross River State through advocacy, dialogues, peer sessions, HIV counselling and testing, condom outlets.

The number of young persons engaged in early smoking, drugs, substance abuse and wrong choices became a concerned, achievements recorded with intervention from Action Health Incorporated with support from British American Tobacco (BAT), using cross section multi-disciplinary approaches.
